It has been four years since I moved to the United States and this is what I like and don’t like about living here :
What I like :
Having my own family and building a new life ❤️
Getting to see amazing places and be there with people that I love 🌎❤️
When you are in a meeting and you say something that is funny but only You think it is funny 😅
Learning to speak another language 👌
Meeting those who always are happy to see you just because you from colombia
When you mix up words, I am so scare about it 😅I usually don’t use the words
Meeting those who wants to know about the good things of you country. 🙂
Meetings those who love Colombia and always have a memory to share with you about Colombia ! 😉
The weather, I love the seasons. I love that we can have a little bit of everything, I am really having so much with it ! my favorites spring and fall ! 🌷🍂🍁
I am so glad for my Colombian friends who are still there. We are always trying to keep our friendship and that makes them so special, those who always send a text or call to know about you! they really have value for me !!!because the time and the distance can’t separate us ! ❤️ and we don’t have to talk everyday but we really know about each other and we are always there for each other. 🙌
People who come to me and try to talk to me in Spanish even when they don’t talk to much, glad for those who teach me and let me know when I am say something wrong.
What I don’t like
Nothing more horrible than when you are in trouble and you can’t find the right words to talk and you can’t even express like a mad Colombian 😬🤐 Frustrating !!!! Colombians are so happy but we can get really mad too ! At least me ! 💆🏻
Be in a place when nobody talks to you and I don’t blame them because sometimes we don’t have things in common. 😕
People who always wants to talk to you about drugs or make jokes about it ! 😒 because I am from Colombia that is really lame !
Those friends that forget you. I use to have so many friends in Colombia but with the time they disappear and I don’t blame them because it is so hard to have a friend that is not really there for anything but I really miss some really good friends that i use to have. 😑
Those Latinos that you find here that are not are really nice, those who always try to be smart and take advantage of you or take advantage of everything. 😠
Missing my Colombian family ! That is hard because cultures are so different and Colombian families are so close, we always have meetings and parties all the time together️🇨🇴 I really miss that 😩
Today I decided to show my little girl how amazing and beautiful my country Colombia is ! We have so much fun looking at pictures and playing with some Colombian stuff that mommy has at home !
I am so glad that Sofía can have the best of both countries ! ❤️
